ISLAMABAD, Jul 14 (APP):Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme, Senator Rubina Khalid, during a visit to Pir Baba Gurdwara in Buner, issued directives to the staff to facilitate the women belonging to minorities in registration process.
During her visit on Sunday, Rubina Khalid interacted with the women of the Sikh community and guided them on the BISP registration process, said a news release.
The chairperson also directed the staff of the BISP office in Buner to facilitate the survey for deserving women from the Sikh community.
Senator Rubina Khalid also directed the staff to resolve the issues of all minority communities in Pakistan and facilitate them in every aspect so they can register themselves and become part of the BISP family.
She assured the Sikh women that deserving and poor women would be included in the BISP after the survey process.
Senator Rubina Khalid emphasized that households with disabled persons should obtain a disability certificate from NADRA to ensure priority inclusion in the program.
She reiterated to the women of the Sikh community that the BISP is a welfare program for poor families across the country, transcending religion and politics.
The Sikh community also thanked Rubina Khalid for her visit at Pir Baba Gurdwara and appreciated her efforts for the welfare of minority communities through BISP.
