ISLAMABAD, Jul 10 (APP):The District and Sessions Court on Wednesday set to review two appeals against the suspension of sentences of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and Bushra Bibi in illegal marriage case.
Lawyer Zahid Asif, representing Khawar Manika, has filed two petitions with the District and Session Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka.
The court has issued notices to the involved parties.
One petition was filed to take a medical opinion through the medical board while the other seeks the opinions of the Council of Islamic Ideology, the Federal Shariat Court, and Islamic scholars on the issue of iddat.
The court adjourned the hearing till July 11.
