ISLAMABAD, Jun 12 (APP): The Federal Government has allocated Rs 155,141 million under Public Service Development Programme (PSDP) for Communications Division in the fiscal year 2024-25.
According to a budgetary document released here on Wednesday, an amount of Rs 728 million has been allocated for Communications Division and Rs 154,413 million for the National Highway Authority (NHA).
Some key ongoing schemes of Communications Division include Construction of NHMP Building for SSP/LHQ 90km North at E35, Mansehra at a cost of Rs 359.995 million while for Construction of NHMP Building for SSP/LHQ Sector-II M-5 at Rahim Yar Khan Interchange (South Loop) RD RD 560+043 an amount of Rs 121.459 million was earmarked.
An amount of Rs 96.953 million was earmarked for construction of NHMP Building for SSP/LHQs Sector-I M-5 at Sher Shah Interchange, Shah Interchange (South Loop) RD 772-000 Motorway M-5.
The new scheme includes development of Traffic Factors for Pakistan at an amount of Rs 25 million.
Under ongoing schemes of National Highway Authority (NHA), an amount of Rs 18,000 million was kept for Construction of Lahore-Sahiwal-Bahawalnagar Motorway (295 Km); Indus Highway (N-55) Additional Carriageway project (Shikarpur Rajanpur Section) Length 221.9km at a cost of Rs 9,000 million; Rs 8000 million was earmarked for Khyber Pass Economic Corridor (KPEC) Project-Revised, Construction of Lahore Bypass from Kalashah Kaku Exit to KLM to Multan Road near Radio Station (40 KM Approx), respectively.
Extension of KLM Start Point to Saggian Road and Main Ravi Bridge (Approx. Length=10km) at a cost of Rs 7,500 million; Land Acquisition, Affected properties and Compensation for Rajanpur-DG Khan Section as 4-Lane Highway and Dulization & Rehabilitation of DG Khan-DI Khan of N-55 (329.7km) at a cost of Rs 7,377.330 million; Dualization of Khuzdar–Kuchlak Section of National Highway (N25):Length 330.52km at a cost of Rs 7,000 million; Rehabilitation & Reconstruction of (N-5) from Moro to Ranipur km. 318-404 (NBC/SBC) & 32 x Damaged Bridges under ADB Flood Emergency Loan at a cost of Rs 6,600 million and Construction of Muzaffarabad-Mansehra Road (26.6km approx.) at a cost of Rs 5,800 million.
For new schemes of National Highway Authority (NHA), an amount of Rs 5,500 million was kept for Relocation of Karakorum Highway between Thakot & Raikot due to Construction of Dams on River Indus (Thor Nullah to Raikot Section 88km) and Land Acquisition for Relocation of Karakorum Highway between Thakot & Raikot due to Construction of Dams on River Indus (Thor Nullah to Raikot Section 88km Rs 3,500 million was earmarked.
