SIC not fielded even single candidate in elections: Barrister Aqeel

ISLAMABAD, Jul 09 (APP): Advisor to Ministry of Law and Justice Barrister Aqeel Malik on Tuesday said that why reserved seats should be given to the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) as even its head didn’t contest the election on his party’s platform.

Addressing a press conference, he said that the top court had reserved its verdict regarding the reserved seats.

He said that people of a political party participated in the elections as independent candidates but now Hamid Raza was demanding reserved seats for SIC.

Barrister Aqeel said that SIC did not field even a single candidate in the elections, adding their own constitution was in conflict with the Constitution of Pakistan.
