ISLAMABAD, Aug 16 (APP): Speaker of National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Governor of Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan Friday discussed parliamentary affairs and other matters of mutual interest.
During the meeting, Speaker Ayaz Sadiq extended his best wishes to Governor Saleem Haider, according to a news release.
The Speaker said that the National Assembly was committed to addressing the country’s challenges and promoting the welfare of the people through effective legislation.
He also underscored the importance of fostering harmony and communication between the provinces and the federal government, stating that such coordination is vital for the nation’s development and prosperity.
Governor Punjab, Sardar Saleem Haider, expressed his gratitude to the Speaker for his well-wishes and commended him for his impartial and efficient conduct of the Assembly’s proceedings.
He acknowledged the significance of effective legislation in steering the country towards progress and praised the Parliament’s efforts in passing laws aimed at public welfare.
