ISLAMABAD, Aug 13 (APP): Directorate of Electronic Media and Publications, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Islamabad on Tuesday organized Digital Photographic and Painting Exhibition in connection with Independence Day Celebrations.
The exhibition featured Pakistan’s rich culture in various sectors including pegging, cooking, music, historical buildings, clothing, portrays and landscaping. The paintings of university students were shown in the exhibition depicting various cultural activities of the country.
Similarly, the paintings of the female students of FDE Schools have also been portrayed in the exhibition. However, the photographs featuring the beautiful landscapes, lakes and historical buildings of Pakistan were shown on the occasion, which also attracted the visitors at large numbers.
The participants of the exhibition lauded the university students for showing the rich culture of the country through outstanding paintings. Around 54 students participated in the portrait and painting exhibition to show their skills through Artwork.
A book stall was also set up on the occasion consisting of books relevant to the Independence of Pakistan, and the history before and after the partition.
Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Ambreen Jan commended the efforts of students for making and displaying the photographs and paintings which depicted the rich culture of the country and nation. Speaking on the occasion as a Chief Guest, she lauded the hard work of female students.
She said that the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting every year organises such kind of events to commemorate the Independence Day. She also shed light on the sacrifices of forefathers for a separate homeland.
“Today’s event shows that our coming new generations are well aware of the Pakistani culture and its beauty. We are a skilled nation and achieving our status in every field”, she said adding, “Today’s participation of students in Photographic and Painting Exhibition show new generation’s commitment to their homeland”.
She congratulated the participating students, teachers and the Ministry of Information for holding this outstanding event on the eve of 14th August. She also distributed the appreciation certificates among the students.
